There is / There are
'There is' dan 'there are' digunakan untuk menyatakan keberadaan sesuatu. 'There is' digunakan untuk benda tunggal, sedangkan 'there are' digunakan untuk benda jamak. Struktur ini sangat umum dalam deskripsi tempat atau situasi.
Structure:

Notes:
- Gunakan there is untuk menyebut satu benda atau hal: there is a problem.
- Gunakan there are untuk menyebut lebih dari satu benda: there are two chairs.
- Untuk bentuk negatif, tambahkan not setelah 'is' atau 'are': there is not..., there are not...
- Dalam pertanyaan, balik urutan menjadi: Is there...? atau Are there...?
- Bisa digunakan dalam deskripsi tempat: There is a lamp in the room.
