Gerunds and Infinitives (I like swimming / I want to swim)
Gerund adalah bentuk kata kerja + -ing yang berfungsi sebagai kata benda. Infinitive adalah bentuk dasar kata kerja yang didahului oleh 'to'. Keduanya bisa digunakan setelah kata kerja tertentu, tetapi penggunaannya berbeda tergantung pada kata kerja sebelumnya.

Notes:
- Gerund adalah kata kerja + -ing yang berfungsi sebagai kata benda: Swimming is fun.
- Beberapa kata kerja selalu diikuti gerund: enjoy, avoid, finish, mind, keep, suggest.
- Beberapa kata kerja diikuti oleh infinitive: want, need, decide, hope, learn, agree.
- Ada kata kerja yang bisa diikuti keduanya tapi maknanya bisa berbeda: She stopped smoking (berhenti merokok) vs. She stopped to smoke (berhenti untuk merokok).
- Setelah preposisi (in, on, about), gunakan gerund: I'm interested in learning English.
- Hindari menggunakan 'to + verb-ing'. Infinitive harus 'to + base verb'.
