Pada level C2, pembelajar tidak hanya memahami struktur kalimat kompleks, tetapi juga mampu menggunakan perangkat retoris (rhetorical devices) untuk memperkuat argumentasi, membangun gaya, dan memengaruhi pembaca atau pendengar secara efektif. Perangkat ini umum digunakan dalam pidato, esai, opini, dan tulisan persuasi tingkat tinggi.

- Rhetorical devices meningkatkan daya tarik emosional dan logis dalam komunikasi.
- Parallelism menciptakan ritme dan keteraturan yang mudah diingat.
- Antithesis memperjelas kontras ide secara elegan dan terstruktur.
- Rhetorical questions memicu refleksi tanpa mengharapkan jawaban.
- Penggunaan perangkat ini harus disesuaikan dengan konteks—terutama dalam pidato, opini, atau penulisan persuasif.
- Mereka menandai kefasihan tingkat tinggi karena menggabungkan tata bahasa dan gaya.
Examples:
- Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country. (antithesis)
- We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds... (parallelism)
- Is this the legacy we want to leave behind? (rhetorical question)
- They promised equality, but delivered injustice. (contrast/juxtaposition)
